“Ice Age Art Now” Exhibition
Wednesday 27th August 2025
from 11am to 3pm plus travelling time by train or car
£10 per person to include Museum donation and YPS admin fee
Ice Age art now presents extraordinary drawn and sculpted images from the end of the last Ice Age in the British Museum collection. These astounding works, some dating back to around 24,000 years ago, reveal the deep roots of drawing, sculpture and modelling in the era of the great painted caves of Lascaux in France and Altamira in Spain, and are on display from 21st June to 14th September 2025 at Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley. We have arranged an introduction by a curator to both the exhibition and to this fascinating museum. This British Museum Touring Exhibition is part of Bradford City of Culture.
Catching the 9.21 train from York and changing at Leeds we will reach Keighley in just over an hour. Shared taxi, approximately 5 minutes, or 20-minute walk to the Museum.
