YPS Groups

The Yorkshire Philosophical Society aims to promote interest in and understanding of the natural sciences, archaeology and antiquities, together with any technological developments affecting them and any social issues which these may raise.

Members of the YPS are encouraged to get involved with the Society’s activities. As well as the governing Council, there are a number of groups formed by members to develop particular areas and interests which fall within the broad compass of the Society’s goals.

Currently there are groups working to promote interest in and provide support for the development of the Historic Library in the Yorkshire Museum, the Museum Gardens (undergoing a major phase of development), education and science in the region, publications relating to the Society’s interests, YPS’s social programme of events and outings, and Café Scientifique’s programme of talks and discussion.

Follow the links on the left for more about YPS Groups, and if you would like to get involved with any of them please contact info@ypsyork.org.
