Visit to Scarborough including Scarborough Fair

Thursday 17th September 2026 from 8.30am to 5.30pm

£34 per person to include coach, gratuities and Scarborough Fair entrance fee

Our visit to Scarborough takes us to the harbour and Rotunda Museum and Art Gallery in the morning and the Scarborough Fair Collection in the afternoon.  Arriving at 10.15am there is time to visit both the Rotunda Museum and the Art Gallery. (£5 annual pass covers both Museums, not included).  Opened in 1829, the Rotunda Museum is one of the world’s first purpose-built museums and was built to a design suggested by William Smith. The interior, with its fascinating Georgian gallery, features a frieze showing the geology of the local coastline designed by Smith’s nephew, John Phillips. The Scarborough Fair collection includes steam engines, vintage cars, motorbikes and fairground rides. During the afternoon we will be able to listen to the Wurlitzer organ being played and play some of the penny machines (bring a £1 coin to buy a bag of old pennies). Full details www.ypsyork.org

The £34 fee includes coach travel, driver gratuity, and entrance fee to Scarborough Fair.  The Ingleby’s coach will leave from York Memorial Gardens at 8.30am, leaving at 4pm for the return journey. Lunch is not included and as well as cafés in Scarborough there is a café at Scarborough Fair Collection in the afternoon.

Please enclose SAE if no email address available.   Your personal details will only be stored and used to administer this event.
