Ash dieback, sudden oak death, Asian long horn beetle, Colorado beetle, emerald ash borer .the list of invasive alien species that are currently threatening our plants, both wild and cultivated, seems endless. Richard Baker (Chief Plant Health Officer Unit, Defra, Sand Hutton) will be explaining why these pests keep on coming and what we are doing to be forewarned and forearmed. Is defending our plants realistic? Come along to Café Scientifique and join in the discussion.
