Join us for a study day in Nottinghamshire. The coach pick up at Memorial Gardens will be at 8.30am to visit Creswell Crags Museum, where we will see cave art in “Church Hole Cave”*. A lecture on “Early Humans and Creativity: the origins of art”, with coffee or tea, is included. Lunch in the Library: either bring a packed lunch or pre-order at own cost (details will be sent).
* 15 minute level walk to the Cave

Re-joining the coach we travel 10 minutes to The Harley Gallery where we will have an included guided tour of The Portland Collection and the opportunity to see two travelling exhibitions: National Glass Centre Touring Exhibition ” Loud and Clear” and Claire Twomey: “Half in shadow. Half in light”: porcelain lithopanes.

We will return to York by coach arriving at approximately 6.30pm.
The fee of £35 is inclusive of coach travel, morning coffee, lecture at Creswell and guided tour of the Portland Collection. Only 25 places available as space at Creswell is limited.
