Leading tech companies across the world, including Snap Inc, Google and Facebook, are investing heavily in virtual and augmented reality and closer to home, the BBC and the University of York are developing new interactive and immersive storytelling technology that will inform the future direction of online broadcasting. As traditional ways of consuming media are being replaced with ever changing new and different forms, what does this mean for how content is distributed to the masses.
