Bats, Bees and Blooms

A presentation and discussion by PLACE (People, Landscape And Cultural Environment of Yorkshire) on some of the wildlife of York

Bob Missin, Countryside Officer City of York Council, will speak about The Wildflowering of York, looking at the what and how of achieving the enhancement of the floral diversity of York’s greenspaces and proposals for the future.  Michael Archer will consider The small landscape for solitary wasps and bees, how wasps and bees find a home and food in urban York.  Finally, Nancy Irwin, of the University of York, will look at Bats and Flowers and the importance of improving the diversity of habitats to help sustain bat populations.
