Event Information

The above tour, which had to be postponed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, has now been rearranged for 2021. People who booked for 2020 will be invited to take part, but we hope that other members will take advantage of this new opportunity.

Tour includes Burghley House, Sutton Hoo and Woodbridge Tide Mill, Cambridge and Fitzwilliam Museum, Ely Cathedral

Arranged by YPS in conjunction with Just for Groups

4 Days by coach – departs:  Monday 4th May from £430 sharing (£490 sole occupancy) Half Board Including all entrance fees*

Your 4 day guideline itinerary:-

Wednesday: Burghley House en route to Cambridge

0845:  Depart York Memorial Gardens.  Short stop at Blyth Service Station. *Choice of Specialist Tour at Burghley House.Group sandwich lunch*.  Self guided Gardens* & Capability Brown exhibition*

Thursday:  Sutton Hoo & Woodbridge:

*Sutton Hoo for guided tour of burial grounds.  Duration approximately 1.25 hours followed by lunch (at own cost) Self guided for Sutton Hoo Exhibition*, Tranmer House*, Ship Sculpture* etc. Woodbridge Tide Mill* and Museum*

Friday:  Cambridge

Guided tour of Fitzwilliam Museum*Self guided and at own cost for other Cambridge attractions, eg Botanic Gardens, Punt on the Cam, Kings College, Kettle Hall etc.There is a hop on, hop off bus in Cambridge if needed (at own cost)

Saturay: Ely Cathedral and return to York

Guided tour of Ely Cathedral* Guided tour of Stained Glass Museum* Self guided for other Ely attractions Tea/coffee* on return journey

Please note:* items included in cost.  All departures at 0845 hours.   All dinners at 1930 hrs.
