Wednesday 4th November 2026 from 10.30am to 4pm plus travelling time by train
£15 per person to include charity donations
The first part of the day will be spent at the National Science and Media Museum which is a ten-minute walk from “Bradford Interchange” station. The 9.24am direct train from York arrives at 10.16am. At the Museum we are booked for the “Sound and Vision” galleries from 10.45am and then in the “Kodak gallery” at 11.45am. There is time for lunch from 12.15pm to 1.45pm. At 1.45pm we walk, about 10 minutes, to the Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) where we will be shown their “Colour Experience” with their historical collections’ officer. The Society’s collections explore historic textiles, discover the story of chemical innovation, and learn more about the birth of synthetic colour. This is an opportunity to view additional treasures from the archive, alongside curated displays, stories, and expert insights. Refreshments included.
