‘Geology in the Gardens’ successfully trialed

The Geology trail which was developed by a final-year Hull Geology Student was trialed in Tuesday before the lecture on volcanoes. To the delight of the organisers, over 30 people turned up to give support. We were also embarrassed as we did not have enough hand-outs for everyone, but we have put a copy on the website, so you can download one to examine a your leisure, or take with you to review in the gardens.

Sadly, the young man who wrote the trail was not able to be with us. It was intended for children of about ten-years old with an accompanying adult, but the people who followed it appeared to find it a good starting-point for the non-specialist. if you were not able to be present on Tuesday, why not download a copy and give it a try. If you could fill out a feedback form and pop it in the Lodge, that would be even better…
